For Immediate Release Contact: Jeff Tittel, (609) 558-9100 Sierra Club Condemns RGA Ad, Unauthorized Use of Logo Club had nothing to do with the Republican Governor's Association ad The Sierra Club vigorously objects to the Republican Governor's Association use of the club's logo in a recent advertisement outlining Governor Jon Corzine's Record. The Sierra Club had nothing to do with or no knowledge of this ad. The New Jersey Chapter of the Sierra Club has not endorsed anyone for Governor and is in the middle of its endorsement process. Our logo cannot be used without the club's permission. The logo is trademarked and can only be used by the club and candidates who have received a Sierra Club endorsement. The compliance department of the national Sierra Club will be sending a cease and desist letter to the Republican Governor's Association asking them to remove the advertisement.
